Rebirth

Rebuilding a life after it’s been dismantled is challenging. It requires a continuum of patience and a growing faith that radiant energy you once carried will shine again. It’s a process.  Those dark days are there as teaching mechanisms, helping guide the heart into mending what was broken.  It takes a level of self-assurance to find the value in heartache and pain as fixing anything in life takes time. Intentionality around finding joy is imperative. I know it’s tiring having to carry the heavy baggage of trauma and adversity. I know that every great storm brings damage and destruction, yet also plants the seed for new foundations to be set. Don’t lose sight of hope, though starting over is scary and unnerving, it is worth it in the end.

From my experience, being in the eye of the storm is one of the hardest positions to be in. There’s a desperation and yearning to be on the other side of chaos but the richest learning comes from the most painful lessons. The longer the storm, the more frustrated and defeated one can feel. Keep striving to conquer the falling debris by doing the personal work. I have become engrossed in the process of self-growth. I’m continually trying to do better, be better, love harder, and pay more attention to details. Details matter. The growth part comes from deepening the level of understanding oneself. Asking the “why” or “how” and learning to identify feelings, bodily sensations, and reactivity as situations arise. Journaling is a tool that helps me release painful memories or brain fog that I am experiencing. It’s a mental reset to regain the locus of control of the mind. Self-compassion is so important for healing.

Be kind to yourself. If you’re trying your best, know that your best is good enough.

You are enough.
