Heart, Healing and Happiness
I consider the heart as the source of our soul, our love, our guide. It’s the hub. The home in which we restore and replenish after loss, heartache and pain. Though the scar tissue remains, the heart regenerates to repair the damage over time. In biblical terms, the heart signifies the center of personality, intellect, and emotion. Much of our wisdom comes from our connection to our bodies and how we shine our light through our hearts.
So how do you plug back into the source after experiencing the tumultuous rides of grief?
There is no easy answer to this. Sitting in the depths of emotional hardship can feel like defeat. It’s hard to conceptualize what healing looks like when it’s painfully slow (and steady). Much like we don’t see the heart repair happening from within, it’s the knowing AND believing that it’s doing the work behind the scenes. You don’t have to explain your healing process with people and changing attitudes might disrupt the comfortable roosts of others. Be authentic in choosing what feels true and right for you. Be okay with disappointing people and find strength in the small wins. You get to celebrate anything you choose. A smile to a stranger can go a long way.
Our power is connecting to the core of our inner life and focusing on our primary point of connection with God himself. Spiritual awareness and a willingness to release control ignites a burning desire to accept any challenge with a grateful heart. We wouldn’t be who we are today without some discourse creating growth and learning.
Love is beautiful and it’s everywhere if you’re paying attention.
Plug back into the source. Your heart, healing and happiness depend on it.
