Platonic Love

In my opinion, platonic relationships are another version of romantic love. These friendships can be the most grounding, soul-nourishing, fun-loving interactions. These are the people who you can lean into with sadness or despair as they will honour your tears with comfort and warmth. They celebrate your successes with excitement and authenticity and evidently want to watch you thrive. They flow through each season of life with you, showing up regardless of circumstances. These friendships help you grow by challenging you (respectfully) and tenderly pushing you outside of your comfort zones. There is a vast amount of beauty in having a circle of people who guide you and love you unconditionally.

I absolutely adore my community of friends. They have become my grounding mechanisms and have helped me step into my authenticity with care and compassion. I enjoy the zest and invigoration that coincides with new adventures and memories made with those I love. As someone who is on the higher end of extrovertedness, it’s imperative that I utilize my time with people to fuel my desires and need for connection. It’s important to fill your bucket so that you are able to give more freely to those around you. It is not always tangibly speaking either. Being a good listener, thoughtful and intentional person takes time and practice. The result of flourishing relationships is always worth it.

I encourage you to create your own inner circle. Gather your posse of people who are able to support you through life’s toughest seasons.

Trust that God has a plan that’s bigger than you. Faith is an honourable system that requires practice and intention. Lucky to be here enjoying the ride of life am I right?
