Redemption

Redemption

In today’s society we have placed romantic love on some sort of pedestal. I’m not negating that romantic love isn’t beautiful. I think that when two souls collide, it is a magnetic force field of attraction, affection, integrity, authenticity with love at the centre.  No doubt it’s electric.

However, I believe the problem in placing a primary focus on romance leaves our energy to be misaligned and distracted from the other avenues of love present. If you’re being intentional with your attention, you’ll notice that there is a vast amount of love presented to you daily. Smiles from strangers, birds chirping, flowers blooming, a text from a friend, and I’ve saved the best for last- God’s stable, insurmountable love.

I believe that love heals. We were never meant to experience love alone. It liberates. It champions you to move through hardship with power, dignity and grace. Love is redemptive and saves us from the condemnation we feel within ourselves. We simply have to see it within to believe it. Love forgives without judgment. When you can learn to forgive with love, it’s recognizing that the pain isn’t void, it’s simply welcoming you into a new way of becoming. We all share a purpose in this life, every single interaction you have has meaning behind it. Like perfectly placed pieces to a delicate puzzle. Sometimes the need for control makes you want to complete the puzzle feverishly, but you’ll miss the lessons in each piece if you rush through. Be patient. What do we know about God’s plan for us? Surrender to that notion, to that kind of love.

True love begins with you. Love yourself the way The Divine loves you. Never forget your worth – it is immeasurable. Be wise enough to trust yourself to protect and nurture the wonderful you. You get to decide who is worth and able to best cherish your gifts and have access to your heart.

Lastly, love isn’t just an emotion we feel, it is a state of being. This takes time and practice to embody within the mind, yet transformative on an outstanding level when mastered.
